# Personality & approach

> Choose how Noo sounds and which therapeutic style shapes replies.

You can shape how Noo talks with you. These choices are preferences, not clinical settings.

## Personality

Personality is the tone of Noo's voice. Options typically include:

* **Default**
* **Professional**
* **Friendly**
* **Candid**
* **Quirky**
* **Efficient**

Change this in **Settings → Chat** (or the personalize flow from onboarding).

## Therapeutic approach

Approach influences the lens Noo uses — still as a companion, not as a therapist. Examples include CBT-informed, ACT, DBT-informed, humanistic, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused styles.

Pick what feels supportive. You can change it anytime.

## Intention

Your intention is what you said brings you to Noodle (for example "Untangle my thoughts"). It helps personalize the experience and can be updated in settings when available.

## Experiment freely

There is no wrong combination. Try a week with one personality, then switch if it does not fit.
