# Home & check-ins

> Start from Home and log how you feel.

**Home** is your landing place after you open Noodle. It greets you, surfaces a check-in card, and shows recent journal activity.

## Check in

A check-in is a quick snapshot of how you feel.

1. From **Home**, open the check-in card.
2. Choose a mood: **Rough**, **Low**, **Okay**, **Good**, or **Great**.
3. Optionally adjust metrics (Energy, Sleep, Stress, and others you have enabled).
4. Add **tags** if you use them.
5. Save.

You can check in more than once in a day. Over time, check-ins feed **Insights** and show up on **Calendar**.

## Customize what you track

In **Settings → Check ins**, choose which optional metrics appear. Keep the set small if a long list feels noisy.

## Recent entries

Home may show recent journal entries so you can jump back in. To start writing, open **Journal** or use a **Prompt**.
